0.0mi 0.0km Traveling north on I-5, take Exit 253.  Go west (left) on Hwy 22/Bus 99E following signs to stay on Hwy 22.  Try to stay in right lane which will take you through Salem, driving past Willamette University.  Hwy 22 is Ferry Street through the Salem downtown district.  Stay in extreme right hand lane.  Place of interest on left is Riverfront Park which hosts a spectacular carousel with hand-carved horses from local artisans.  Take on-ramp continuing on Hwy 22 which is an overpass.  Follow signs on Hwy 22 that indicate ocean beaches and Dallas.  Stay on Hwy 22 until it joins Hwy 18 going to ocean beaches.
30.5mi 49.11km Distance from I-5 in Salem along Hwy 22 to Hwy 18.
33.7mi 54.26km Texaco gas station on the right.  If you’re low on gas or need to make a potty stop, here is the last fairly decent place before you reach the coast.
35.2mi 56.67km Spirit Mountain Casino.  Wonderful place.  But save your time and money for the Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center in Lincoln City, just three-fourth’s of a mile north of WECOMA Creekside beach house.

49.1mi 79.05km Leaving Van Duzer Corridor of old growth forest.
56.5mi 90.97km Otis Café.  Tiny but good, again, after an interlude between changes in ownership.
57.5mi 92.58km Junction of Hwy 18 and Hwy 101 (sometimes called the "Coast Hwy").  Bear left taking Hwy 101 South to Lincoln City.  (Going north would take you to Neskowin, where you may want to golf or ride horses on the beach, and on to Pacific City and the Cape Kiwanda dunes that you may want to explore.  You can drive your car right down on the beach.)
59.9mi 96.44km East Devil’s Lake Road junction with Hwy 101.  Later in your stay, you may want to explore this road.  There is a public park on the east side of the lake, and boat rentals and hospital on the west side.
60.4mi 97.24km Major intersection of Hwy 101 and Logan Road.  McDonald’s on your left.  On your right is Lighthouse Square (Lighthouse Brew Pub) as well as Safeway Plaza with lots of stores.
60.5mi 97.41km Continue through this intersection, staying on Hwy 101 South, going about 300 feet.  Turn right onto NW 36th, just past the "Coast Property" sign.
60.7mi 97.73km Go 30 feet on NW 36th.  The street splits into 4 options.  Bear left, but not a hard left, onto NW 35th Place.
60.9mi 98.05km Continue on NW 35th, then turn left onto NW Keel.  (Don’t go further on to NW Jetty.  That’s the front of the house, and beach access and view, but no parking.)  Go 100 feet south on NW Keel to 3434 NW Keel.
